  • HOW LONG SHOULD THE HAIR BE BEFORE WAXING?
A good length is between 1/4-1/2 inch long. This is normally 3 weeks of hair growth, if you are currently shaving. Longer than a grain of rice.
  • IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD DO TO PREPARE FOR WAXING SO I AM COMFORTABLE?
Yes. I recommend taking a few (2) ibuprofen at least 30 minutes before your service. Be sure to exfoliate the night before and morning of your scheduled appointment time.
  • CAN I WAX WHILE ON MY PERIOD?
For me its all about your comfort! I personally do not mind waxing while you're on your period, if so you are required to wear a tampon during your entire service. Please make sure its placed in properly, as somethings if not it will pop out. No Tampon = No Waxing lol.
  • CAN I STILL GET WAXED WHILE BEING PREGNANT?
Yes. You might be a little more sensitive than usual, but there is no harm to you or that soon to be precious baby. Helps induce pregnancy, closer to your due date. I always tell my clients "If you have your baby that day after your service, I reserve all rights to being the God mom as I did help bring him/her into this world. lol" A doctors okay'd Tylenol is also helpful to take 30 minutes prior to appointment.
  • HOW LONG DOES A BRAZILIAN WAX TAKE?
For first time waxers, I usually take the full 30 minutes blocked off. Just to be able to talk you through it, give you proper aftercare information, and just make the experience is as comfortable as possible. Typically it usually takes me 10-15 minutes. The more you wax, the quicker your wax will be done.
  • HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WAX?
I would recommend every 4-6 weeks. 4 weeks is always recommended. 5 weeks is if life happens (period) 6 weeks is pushing it and possible will convince you to shave. A good wax routine is the key to a smooth and hair free kitty.
  • IS IT OKAY TO SHAVE BETWEEN WAX APPOINTMENTS?
No, I highly discourage shaving in between! Waxing slows down and reduces hair growth. Hair also grows out much thinner, thus making it easier to remove and less painful when getting waxed. Shaving just one time in between will invalidate all that is gained from waxing and can further irritate follicles, which can cause ingrown hair.
  • HOW OFTEN SHOULD I EXFOLIATE?
2-3 times a week! Over exfoliating causes ingrown hairs, as well under exfoliating. Wait 24 hours after your initial wax.
  • WHAT IS A VAGACIAL?
A vagacial consist of a Brazilian wax followed with a exfoliating cleanser, extractions if needed, hydrojelly mask, hot towel, then topping you off like a glaze donut with Furs Ingrown Concentrate/Oil.
  • WHAT IS INTIMATE SKIN LIGHTENING?
Intimate skin lightening is a treatment preformed to reduce the amount of over produced melanin on the skin, more than one treatment will be needed. A good 3-6 treatments, depending on desired result(s). Every one is different and will require its own amount of treatments. As well as following a consist aftercare routine! This is the most important to any and every treatment. One treatment in studio will not rid 18+(clients must be 18 years or older) years of any skin condition. Consultation Required. Also consider a Brightening Vagacial.
  • HOW LONG DOES A WAX USUALLY LAST?
You will be hair free for the first 2 weeks. During your 3rd week you will being to start seeing hair growth. During that time you can decide on your hair growth when to book your next appointment. Between the 4th-6th week.
  • CAN I GET WAXED IF I'M TAKING RETIN A, RETINOL, OR ACCUTANE?
These medications increase the rate at which your skin exfoliates so waxing could potentially remove skin as well as hair. Please let me know immediately if you are on any medications. Also be aware that chemical peels, laser, and micro-dermabrasion can also affect skin integrity. There are many medications that affect skin and skin integrity (glycolic acid, lactic acid, benzyl peroxide, salicylic acid, alpha hydroxyl acid, vitamin A, prescribed exfoliating scrubs, antibiotics, hormonal medications, radiation and/or chemotherapy drugs). Please consult with your physician in regards to any medications and how it may affect your waxing experience. Some brand names to be aware of: Adapalene, Avita, Tazorac Avage, Proactiv(e), Differin, Strivectin.
